【8th Edition | A Huge Success】 Congratulations 【8th Edition | A Huge Success】
Congratulations to Takako-san on publishing her 10th book and celebrating the 9th anniversary of her company!

Yesterday was a perfect Golden Week day filled with sunshine and joy.
Despite being a party to thank her, the celebration kicked off with a soulful saxophone welcome by the Tsurumi River, followed by a toast with Natuko-sensei’s favorite lemon liqueur.

At Takako-san’s home, I had the honor of serving 8 dishes of healthy, slimming fish-based cuisine.
Paired beautifully with 6 carefully selected varieties of sake by Natuko-sensei, the meal sparked vibrant conversations.

The highlight? Our crowd-pleasing Fortune Gyoza, made together with everyone!
It was the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable celebration.

To all who joined us—thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

What a success!
April 25 (Fri), Tokyo with @atelierr4413
“Eat Right, Slim Down & Connect with the World”
– Gluten-Free × Molecular Nutrition × English Cooking Class –

It was a joyful and enriching day, filled with laughter, learning, and heartwarming experiences.

During Emi-sensei’s Raw Rice Pizza demo,
Naoko stood between Emi and Dianne, skillfully guiding the session as a bridge between Japanese and English.
Participants joined in enthusiastically through a “Repeat after me” style practice,
gaining confidence and discovering how fun it is to communicate through cooking.

The menu featured a delicious and nourishing lineup:
– Seared Sagoshi (Spanish mackerel) delivered fresh from Niigata
– John Dory (Hōbō) Carpaccio
– Grass-fed beef tataki
– Advanced bone broth
– Miso balls and grass-fed butter
all created from a molecular nutrition perspective.

We also shared 5 key mindset tips for starting inbound cooking classes—even for those who feel unsure about their English.
The Q&A session that followed was full of great energy and curiosity, with lots of smiles and “I want to try that too!” moments.

The day beautifully wove together food, wellness, English, and cross-cultural connection.

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us!
Asuka Set Meal at Asuka, Utsunomiya Whenever I wan Asuka Set Meal at Asuka, Utsunomiya
Whenever I want to experience truly authentic Japanese kaiseki, I come to Asuka.
It’s one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Japan — not just for the food, but for the entire experience.

From the morijio (purifying salt placed at the entrance for good fortune and to welcome guests) to the gentle uchimizu (sprinkling water on the stone path), every detail reflects Japan’s traditional omotenashi spirit.
There’s even a peaceful inner garden and a live fish tank where you can see the fish before they’re served — adding a touch of beauty and connection to nature.

The beautifully presented 6-dish starter platter, featuring:

– Roasted Wagyu Beef from Hokkaido
– Seasonal bamboo shoots with kinome (aromatic leaves)
– Simmered taro and pumpkin
– Okara (soy pulp) vegetable salad
– Dashi-maki tamago with grated daikon
– Marinated shrimp and fuki (butterbur stalk)

Sashimi Platter: 3 kinds of fresh seasonal sashimi

Chawanmushi: Silky smooth savory egg custard

Mini Hot Pot: Instead of tempura, we had a comforting duck tsukune and yuba hot pot

Rice & Miso Soup

Dessert

It’s more than a meal — it’s a moment of harmony and tradition.
